16th JULY 08
WE CATCH UP WITH CAM AND SEE HOW HIS SHOULDER IS SHAPING UP.
How is your broken collarbone going?
It’s going ok, it has been five weeks since my crash and I’m back on the bike now. I had my first ride today at
Nate’s house and it went well. I got a little infection buts it’s all good now.
Are you back on the bike and riding like normal again?
Yeah well after my first ride back my collar bone felt good, it’s not 100% but it’s good enough to ride.
How are the double back flips coming along?
I haven’t had the chance to do anymore since I broke my collar bone but I’m hitting up Deegan’s pit tomorrow to get them sorted again.
What are your plans whilst in the US?
Just practise my butt off and get ready for the crusty tour in Europe. I hope to land a few doubles to dirt and maybe ride a few demo’s here and there.
Sounds like X Games are being pretty tough on entries this year. How confident are you of
making it and do you have something up your sleeve?
Yeah I’ve been trying to work with them but it’s hard to get in because I’m coming off an injury and haven’t landed the double to dirt yet,
but hopefully after doing a few into the pit they might change their minds.
What’s next for you?
Just get ready for the Europe crusty tour, get lots of practise in, plenty of beer drinking and staying injury free.

8th JULY 08
WE CATCH UP WITH BILKO IN THE US
You have been labelled the ‘comeback king’ since your Dew Tour win last month how does that make you feel?
It feels awesome to take out the opening round of dew tour, especially after such a hectic travelling schedule.
This is my first weekend off this year becauseI rode on the 18 week Crusty tour straight after the UK tour in January.
So I didn’t think I was 100%prepared and feel with a little more practise time I can step up my game even more.
Were you secretly confident that you could win the round and was that the goal you set yourself?
Not really, I just set one short term goal after another. You get very little course time before open qualifying and prelims so
I just focussed on putting togethera medium difficulty run I knew I could throw with out mistakes. My first goal was to make it through
open qualifying and I qualified first. Then I set the goal ofstepping up my run to try and transfer out of the first four spots in round one of
prelims and not have the pressure of riding again. After that we had a lotmore course time before the finals so I just didn’t think about positions,
just focussed on dialling all of my hardest tricks to piece togethera difficult run for the finals, yet not to risky after what happened last year.
My goal was top five but every thing seemed to just flow really well. I got a little lost and made the second half up but I threw down a
solid run in roundone and that score put me in the lead and that’s where I stayed. I didn’t really know what to think at first, but after
coming home I realised I just took out the opening round not riding 100% and with minimal time on the different US ramps.
I know with more practise time my hardest flip combos that I didn’t pull in Baltimore will come back over the next month before X games
Everyone is going to keep raising the bar at each round now, have you still got some new tricks up your sleeve?
Yeah I don’t necessarily have new tricks but just some real gnarly ones I don’t like doing unless I really have to. Like 360 combos.
360’s scare the hell out of me every time and then the thought of throwing hands and feet off as well gives me the jitters.
But I am looking forward to the next month and dialling in everything 100% for X games
How confident are you of taking out the whole tour?
It’s hard to say, I just want to go out there and ride my best and if people come out swinging at the next round and I ride my best
and get beat I know I’ll have to go back to the drawing board and work harder to get back on top.
What do you get up to in the US in between rounds?
Well I have been doing a lot of boring stuff like meeting with my agent and sponsors since I haven’t seen them in nearly a year.
I have been setting up bank accounts, spent about a week searching for a place to rent and also a van to buy, but it’s
almost all dialled in now so I have a home base set up like in Australia with a garage and a van so I can just get back to riding every day.
I did crash this morning and dislocated mybig toe so it’s real sore and dark purple from some serious bruising. I’ll take a couple more days
off and finalise all my off the bike stuff. Still hunting for car insurance, it’s hard to find when you have an Australian license haha….
Was it a bad fall and does that affect your riding too much?
Yeah it was a bad fall but I got out of it pretty good. I was working on getting my nac flips really big and as I brang my leg over my
foot slipped off the peg and I ended up landing like I was doing a double nac.At first I was scared to take my boot off because something felt
broken but it justpopped in and out and all the x rays turned up fine.I can ride with it no worries, but I would rather take a few days off and finalise all my
house and car stuff so I will be doing nothing but riding by next week. If it still hurts it will only affect flip tricks where I have to hook my foot such as nac flips,
no handers, one hand cans and seran wraps. They’re not too technical though so if I don’t do them for a couple of weeks I won’t really lose touch with them.
How is the new pad?
Yeah it’s awesome. After four days of driving around looking at apartments and townhouses I was dead set I wasn’t
going tofind anything that suited me that wasn’t priced through the roof. But I somehow stumbled across a fully
furnished place in a nice golf course gated community that was with a short term lease. It was pretty much everything I
was after and a really good price so Ijumped on it straight away. The household furniture doesn’t really bother me except the bed, as
long as my garage is set up soI spent about $1200 at the home depot centre decking out the garage with benches, cabinets, a bin and
some carpet so now I am all stoked that I have a good set up to maintain my bikes. I think I will spend more time in the garage than the house anyway.
How are the American chicks treating you?
Haven’t had time to really venture into that area yet but plan on seeing what southern California has to offer soon haha I’ll keep you posted.
And lastly – you missing Oz?
Yeah for sure, mainly tour because for the last 18 weeks I have been travelling Australia with my second family –
the crusty crew, from the riders, to the track crew and management. We are like one big happy family and I miss
all that, but I have been so busy it keeps my mind off it. It’s cool to hang out with some of my riding buddies here I haven’t
seen for a while like Jeremy Lusk, Twitch, Potter, Fiasst and riding with all those guys too. Also Deegan had a mad 4th of July
party n things got pretty wild so that was a good day haha…

26th JUNE 08
REGIONAL TOUR WRAP
The Crusty Demons 2008 Unleash Hell Regional Tour drew to a sensational finish in Rockhampton on June 14 after making its way
around the country for the past four months. The tour was the longest ever completed by the Crusty’s which visited 17 regional centres between Launceston and
Darwin, and amazing almost 200,000 fans along the way.
The riding was off the hook and no doubt delivered the best FMX performances Australia has ever seen.
One of the highlights on the tour was the double back flip which blew the minds of everyone who witnessed it.
America’s Scott Murray was the crazy guy willing to perform the trick and demonstrated just how dangerous it
really is by landing only four of eleven attempts. Murray was lucky to escape serious injury from his crashes
including when he was carried off to hospital in an ambulance on his first attempt in Canberra.
Rider of the tour was awarded to Australia’s Matt Schubring who was riding consistently well and
always pulling off some of the biggest ruler flips ever unleashed.
America’s Nicky Danielson also impressed on his first ever tour down under.
His Shaolin flips kept getting bigger at every show and his character and craziness definitely became a crowd favourite.
America’s top riders were back in action along with Australia’s best.
The Crusty’s also introduced Japan’s Takayuki Higashino at some shows who ripped it up on his first ever Crusty tour.
Each show finished with every rider taking part in the final back flip combination train that had them all flipping one after
the other and bringing every crowd screaming and cheering to their feet.
The four wheel and mini bike madness was back better than ever as well as the best BMX tricks and the Freak’s stomach churning acts.
The Crusty’s are now resting up or competing in the US for the next few months before they embark on their first ever tour of Europe which kicks off in September.

BILKO'S DEW TOUR WIN
Australia’s own Crusty Demon Blake ‘Bilko’ Williams has won the first round of the AST Dew Tour in Baltimore on the weekend by pulling
out some insane 360s to beat the world’s best FMX riders. The win is being dubbed as one
of the greatest comebacks of all time following the excessive injuries he contained after crashing in the same
event last year – injuries which put him completely out of the 2007 competition season.
Bilko pulled off what seemed to be an effortless 360 nac and 360 heel clicker to post a huge score of 90.33 and set the bar
for the rest of the field. The competition went right down to the wire with two time Dew Tour winner, Nate Adams, the only man left that
could take the top honours from Bilko. Adams did an amazing run, but it wasn’t good enough to beat the Aussie, falling one point short with an 89.33.
The Crusty Demons were excellently represented in the competition claiming seven of the top ten spots.
Congrats to Bilko and all the other finalists!

Territorian crowd of almost 10,000 motivating the riders to bust out some big moves.
All riders spent more time upside down in the air than upright and once again pulled out the craziest FMX tricks going around.
Scott Murray performed his last double back flip for the tour and had the crowd on the edge of their seats. Unfortunately he missed the
landing, but escaped injury and departs for the US having landed four of his thirteen attempts, proving just how difficult the manoeuvre is.

13th MAY 08
CRUSTY TOOWOOMBA NEWSPAPER ARTICLE
Why should we write a show wrap this week when this is what was written about us in the local paper in Toowoomba -
TOOWOOMBA was a stopover on the 2008 Crusty Demons Unleash Hell Regional Tour on Saturday.
For the crowd of nearly 10,000 people who ventured out to the Toowoomba Showgrounds, there was a lot more than just hell on offer.
Among the beasts let loose from their shackles were death-defying stunts, some healthy doses of humour, good old-fashioned fireworks and plenty of excitement.
As I kid, I rode my BMX on the streets around my home jumping gutters, popping wheelies and "leaping" off home-made brick and wooden-plank jumps.
I dreamed of casting off my gravity-enforced shackles and soaring through the air, busting out the biggest moves known to man (or at least my mates) and
impressing all who were lucky enough to witness my feats.
Unfortunately, gravity proved too strong a force and I never really progressed beyond the local BMX track and the odd mountain-bike trail.I firmly believe there are at least several thousand other people who shared similar dreams as children, which is why the Crusty Demons spectacular proved so popular.
Perched atop a hill at the showgrounds I like so many people around me was amazed by what I saw. The assembled cast of Aussie and international riders are nothing short of superheroes minus the x-ray vision.
Having watched my fair share of Crusty Demons DVDs, I'll be the first to admit these guys exceeded my expectations and went well beyond
those dreams I held as a gravity-challenged child.
Being close enough to the action to feel the heat from the flame-throwers, which blasted out columns of fire, and the fireworks, but far enough away to appreciate the height and size of the stunts added to the atmosphere.
It was amazing to watch the riders belt along the smallest of tracks, hit the biggest of ramps to perform some of the toughest stunts in the industry and then land safely.
Making it up and over would be mission accomplished for me, but for the Demons it was all about impressing the crowd. And if my feelings are anything to go by, there were close to 10,000 people who left the showgrounds more than impressed.

6th MAY 08
GOSFORD GOES CRAZY FOR CRUSTY'S
A screaming crowd of almost 9,000 witnessed a sensational Crusty Demons show at the Bluetongue Stadium in Gosford on Saturday night.
Perfect conditions and an extremely enthusiastic audience pumped up the riders to perform the
biggest tricks in their repertoire. Adam Jones pulled off the biggest cordova flip of the tour and the final
all-in expression session saw every rider bust out a back flip combo, one after the other. The crowd was
brought to their feet all through the night in appreciation of the insane riding they were seeing.

19th APRIL 08
CRUSTY'S NEWCASTLE WRAP
A week of torrential rain and storms could not prevent the Crusty Demons from performing at one of their biggest shows on the Unleash Hell Regional Tour in Newcastle on Saturday night.
The track crew were forced to work extra hard on the night to dry the performance area after rain hit just minutes prior to the show, then again when the heaven’s opened at half time.
Once riders were given the all clear to commence the second half they quickly jumped on their bikes and unleashed some amazing riding with all of the biggest tricks in their repertoire. Matt Schubring pulled off one of the biggest ruler flips on the whole tour causing the crowd of over 12,000 to roar in appreciation.
Japan’s number one Takayuki Higashino added some extra international flair, performing with the Crusty Demons for the first time ever and showing off his unique style and skill that has shot him into the top world rankings.

15th APRIL 08
DEMONS DOMINATE AT MXWC
The first ever Navy Moto X World Championships was held in San Diego over the weekend with two of the riders on the 2008 Crusty Demons Unleash Hell Regional Tour claiming gold. World number one Nate Adams claimed two gold medals whilst Scott Murray received one.
Adams beat off some outstanding freestyle and racing talent to finish first in the speed and style event. He then went on to claim gold in the freestyle event where he beat of Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg in the final with a score of 93.80.
Scott Murray claimed gold in the biggest trick event with an almost perfect double back flip, whilst Bilko finished in a controversial 5th position by pulling off a 360 heel clicker. A trick which many thought should have earned him a medal.
Adam Jones, Mike Mason and Robbie Maddison also competed well in the event.

2ND APRIL 08
TO THE NIGHT OF WORLD RECORDS FANS FROM THE PROMOTER
Firstly let me say how proud I was of Seth, Ryan and Robbie. Seth finally cracking the 300 foot barrier,
Ryan breaking the world record, then Robbie smashing his own record twice in one night.
Those who braved the conditions saw history made right here in Australia.
Cam Sinclair, Jon Guetter and the 50 rider, Brent Brady, also set wonderful new marks.
Bubba showed incredible courage to be the first rider out in the wet, jumping his huge frame over 150 feet
before crashing. Bubba has been released from hospital and is nursing some breaks and bruises(see Bubba news story).
Now I want to explain to fans the reasons for the delays on the night. Unfortunately the downpour at 5:15pm
which went for 30 minutes left us with a very wet and dangerous track. For at least another
two hours the track was still wet and remained very dangerous.
As a result I was forced to change the show plan around completely as most of the planned performers simply cannot run in wet conditions.
In the end the riders showed tremendous courage in jumping huge distances with a wet run up,
making an already dangerous jump, simply death defying.
I hope you all understand that we all did the best we could on the night to bring you the best action possible.
The only other option was to cancel (we are fully insured for this, so we could easily have
taken this option), but we wanted to do everything possible to give fans what they came to see.
In the end we saw some great FMX with 110 feet jumps for the first time in Australia, all the big back
flip combinations, and a world record combination back flip train.
Most importantly we saw the amazing feat of Ryan Capes and Robbie Maddison breaking the world distance record no fewer than three times.
However, I also understand that as a result of the rain, there were long periods where very little
happened and this was very frustrating for fans and a number of show aspects could not be run.
Unfortunately this was entirely unavoidable as the rain either meant a long delay or a cancellation.
I also understand that there were major delays in getting cars out of the venue. I apologise sincerely for this
to all our fans that were delayed getting home. Unfortunately even with a substantial traffic management
plan in place, Calder Park clearly cannot handle a crowd of this size from a traffic point of view.
This was disappointing as the venue assured us that this would not occur when we agreed to hold the show there.
Once again my sincere apologies for the disruption to the show and the traffic problems, however in both cases this was beyond our control.

BUBBA INJURY UPDATE
Crowd favourite, Bubba, had a huge crash when attempting the heaviest person distance jump at the Crusty Demons Night of World
Records in Melbourne on Saturday night. His injuries from his massive crash include two broken bones in his hand, two broken ribs, a broken sternum and
what was originally thought to be cracked T7 vertebrae wasthankfully downgraded to a bruised spinal column today.
Above everything Bubba said that he was really bummed to miss Seth crack the 300 feet mark and to see Maddo smash his own record. He also wanted
to apologise to his fans for missing his jump.
Despite the pain he is in, Bubba will be released from hospital tonight and is ready to get back on the bike and be there for his fans at the Wagga Wagga
show scheduled for this weekend.

29TH MARCH 08
NIGHT OF WORLD RECORDS WRAP - MADDO SMASHES 350ft
Australia’s own Evel Knievel, Robbie Maddison, has once again written himself into the Guinness Book of World Records after successfully jumping a death defying distance of 351feet on his Honda CR500 at the Crusty Demons Night of World Records presented by Rockstar Energy Drink at Calder Park in Melbourne, adding an astonishing 29 feet to his own record set in Las Vegas last New Years Eve.
Defying gravity - and logic - Maddison reclaimed his world title after rival Ryan Capes (USA) jumped 324 feet to better Maddison’s previous record of 322 feet and hold the record momentarily before the Australian rose to the occasion and set the new world record on his third attempt.
Maddison hit the ramp for his final attempt at over 100mph (165km) and rose more than 70 feet in the air before making a safe landing back to earth for a record shattering jump.
“I can’t explain how amazing it is to smash my own world record in front of a home crowd,” said an elated Maddison.
“I have been doing huge jumps and breaking personal records in training this week so I knew that I had it tonight, but nothing could of prepared me for how great this feels.
“All my family and friends are here and the crowd was awesome.”
The Australian was congratulated by American Challengers after deafening acclaim from the crowd, and said the opportunity to square off against competitors of equal calibre had been incredible.
“It was always going to be exciting with the jump off situation, Seth is a mate and a legend of the sport and Ryan is renowned as a long distance jumping specialist. The Aussie crowd got me over the line,” he added.
Capes fell short of the 351 mark, hitting the down ramp to complete a 324 foot effort.
While visibly disappointed, he said it was the greatest challenge he had ever faced and to hold the record even just for a moment was satisfying.
“I am looking forward to a rematch in the USA in the next twelve months it was Robbie’s night tonight,” said Capes.
Enslow set a personal best of 301feet and ten inches achieving his long held goal of breaking the 300 foot barrier.
“I am stoked, I may not have claimed the World Record but I am really happy with my result, that is the best I have jumped,” said Enslow.
History was created when the first ever three man jump off for the world record took centre stage despite the terrible weather conditions endured all week. The show went ahead and after some minor changes to the schedule to compensate for the conditions nine records were attempted with six written into the history books.
The official Guinness record topped off an extraordinary week for Maddison who broke the world record on four separate occasions in training during the week, reaching an incredible 376 feet by the day before the show.
Successful Guinness World Record Attempts
Longest distance jump ramp to ramp on a motorcycle – Robbie Maddison broke his existing record of 322feet and 7 inches. New World Record is 351 feet
Longest backflip ramp to ramp – Cameron Sinclair existing record 125feet new world record 129feet and 7inches
Longest mini bike distance jump - Brent Brady broke the world record with a jump of 104feet and 7 inches
Longest distance jump ramp to ramp by a quad motorcycle - John Guetter existing record was 148.9 feet the new record is 176 feet 11 inches
Most swords swallowed – Chayne Hultgren existing record was 14 new world record is 17
Heaviest weight lifted while swallowing a sword – Cheyne Hultgren existing record was 20.1kg new world record is 22.4kg

27TH MARCH 08
MADDO SETS NEW WORLD RECORD
Australia’s own Evel Knievel, Robbie Maddison, this afternoon smashed his own world record that he set on New Year’s in Eve in Las Vegas this year, with an astonishing
leap of 346ft, adding an unbelievable 24ft to his previous mark. Treacherous conditions have prevented him from training all week, but after
few smaller training jumps today Robbie was ready to see exactly what his modified Honda CR500 and ramp could do.
The winds were still in the 30 to 40 km/h range but Robbie could not wait any longer to get out there and jump.
“I have been saying all week how far I know I can jump and it is so good to go out there and prove it today. I have now broken my own record in training and I definitely
have much more in the tank for Saturday.”
Maddison was jumping in front of a host of onlookers who were shocked and amazed at the extreme distances he was going, hitting the take off ramp at
almost 160 km/h and flying over 70 feet in the air.
His challengers Seth Enslow and Ryan Capes were watching on and now know it is going to take a huge feat to take the new world record of 346 feet off the Aussie in front of a massive home crowd of over 25,000 on Saturday night.

26TH MARCH 08
WIND PLAYS HAVOC FOR WORLD RECORD TRAINING AS
RIVALRY INTENSIFIES AMONG CONTENDERS
Crusty Demons legend Seth Enslow proved today why he his known as the craziest of them all when
he geared up and hit an astonishing distance jump of 160 feet despite extremely strong gusty side winds that swept throughout Melbourne today.
With no one else willing to jump, Seth ordered his take off ramp to be adjusted slightly to the left, knowing that the
strong winds would push him to the right, and launched himself 70 feet in the air. After landing the first jump he decided to go for another which almost ended in catastrophe.
A huge gust of wind pushed Seth two whole metres to the right whilst up in the air causing him to draw on all of his years of riding experience to escape what was almost a terrible crash.
“I was really keen to get out there and jump today so I just went for it despite the wind,” said Seth. “The first jump was fine
but the wind picked up as I was in the air on the second and it was a very sketchy landing. I hate to think whatwould have happened if I wasn’t able to pull it together.”
With jumping called off, Australia’s Robbie Maddison was practicing his take off speed and was reaching speeds of almost 200 km/h.
“I am scheduled to go second on the night which is going to be a definite disadvantage. Capes is last so he will knowexactly what he has to jump to beat me,” said Maddison.
“This just means I will have to go out and there and jump a distance I know he won’t be able to match. I have prepared my bike to reach speeds of 200 km/h
which can push me to 400 feet so that is the distance I am going to jump.”
Capes was quick to fire back at Maddison. “I know I have the advantage jumping last and I am going to make
the most of it. If Robbie jumps 400 feet than I will go further. The record is going to be mine.”
Robbie Maddison, Seth Enslow and Ryan Capes serious approach and painstaking preparation ahead of this Saturday evening’s jump was clearly evident.
“A lot goes into planning for this event and this particular jump, you need to consider everything to get it just right,” said Maddison.
“Fitness is definitely a key, as is confidence. You need to be 100 hundred percent committed otherwise you risk falling short and taking a very big fall.”
“Having three of us going for the same record is going to be interesting – the mind games have already started,” he claimed.
Maddison starred in the celebrity race at the recent Australian Grand Prix and Enslow said it was now his turn to take centre stage.
“Robbie’s had his turn, now it’s mine,” quipped Enslow.
“I’ve been putting absolutely everything into my training and have been bettering my own jumps consistently in practice.”
“We’ll see who can pull it off on the night, there could be some surprises.”
Based in the United States, Capes and Enslow have had the chance to train together prior to the event and are both acutely aware of each other’s strengths.
Capes rallied the argument, stating that when it came to crunch time, he knew he would have what it takes to hold off both Enslow and local hopeful Maddison.
“I’ve been training with Seth so I can read him pretty well, he’ll talk it up but we’ll see who actually delivers on the night,” said Capes.
“Robbie will be tough to top, but I know I can just out jump whatever he dishes out on the night!”
This attempt will round out what is set to be an incredible evening of entertainment. As well as 17 other
separate world record attempts, the event will feature an integrated pyrotechnics display and the sounds
of home-grown talents Dead Letter Circus, Mammal and Kill the Capital.

ROBBIE MADDISON IN HOSPITAL AFTER MELBOURNE STUNT CRASH
Multiple Guinness World Record Holder, freestyle motorcyclist Robbie Maddison has crashed while warming up to performing a freestyle demo for a large contingent
of Melbourne media this morning.
Maddison was taken to Royal Melbourne hospital where a large cut and puncture on his hip and stomach were checked. He may require surgery tonight, however at the
time of release he is in hospital under supervision being examined.
“There was a slight drizzle and a bit of a crosswind but I was confident that the trick could still be safely pulled off,” explained Maddison.
“The lander was slipperier than I had anticipated and i got all crossed up and the rest is history! I’m also concerned about having reopened an old scar, so I’ve got to go to hospital to get it checked out.”
“Had my bike not have been damaged you would definitely have seen me back out there.”
Despite today’s crash, Robbie Maddison is out to do it all again in front of a ‘home’ crowd at the
Crusty Demons Night of World Records presented by Rockstar Energy Drink at Calder Park Raceway on Saturday 29 March 2008.

SCOTT MURRAY DOUBLE FLIPS INTO EXTREME SPORTS HISTORY
The most death defying trick in extreme sports successfully completed in Australia
The Crusty Demons show in Launceston tonight played host to a monumental event in action sports when American daredevil Scott Murray
pulled off an incredible double back flip. Scott is one of only two men to have ever completed the trick and the only man in history to have
completed it more than once.
Prior to tonight the double back flip had only ever been completed successfully once in competition by the world
famous Travis Pastrana at the ESPN X Games in Los Angeles.
The atmosphere was electric at Aurora Stadium as the crowd of around 10,000 waited in anticipation for the craziest trick in extreme sport.
Every pair of eyes was on Scott as soon as he revved his motorbike and hit the ramp to flip twice in the air
as if in slow motion. Landing it perfectly he rode off the lander and into the history books. The crowd erupted in screams and
cheers and were in complete shock and awe of what they had just witnessed.
Scott made two attempts at the double back flip on the first stop of the Unleash Hell Regional Tour in Canberra on February 16,
but crashed badly on the second. Falling four metres off the lander he was taken off to hospital by paramedics. Miraculously escaping injury he was
released from hospital the following day and has been recovering and training hard determined to land the insane manoeuvre this time round.
“I was so disappointed I let the fans down in Canberra and there was no way I wanted to that again. I knew I had it this time
and it feels so awesome to pull off what I came here to do. I could feel the tension in the crowd and it just made me more
determined,” said Scott. “I can’t explain how great this feels!”
The whole show had the crowd going crazy with perfect weather conditions for riders to pull out all stops. The top three riders in the
world were on show - world number one Nate Adams, X Games gold medallist Adam Jones and Mike Mason - all from the USA as
well as Australia’s number one “Bilko” and the rest of the Crusty crew.
New Crusty Demons rider Nicky Danielson from the US pulled off an insane Shoalin Flip where he
flicked his legs through the handlebars whilst upside down in the middle
of a back flip. Other highlights included an all in expression session and back flip train.

5 MINUTES WITH RYAN CAPES
We have heard from Seth Enslow and Robbie Maddison on the upcoming Crusty Demons Night of World Records, so how is the other US challenger,
jumping specialist Ryan Capes, getting ready for the big night? We had a quick chat to him about his preparation and how important it is to him
to claim the record on March 29.
Q: How is your training going for the Crusty Demons NOWR?
A: Training is good... a lot of bike prep and jumping. It will all pay off at the end when I come home with the record.
Q. You are up against some pretty tough competition with Robbie, the current world record holder and Seth, a
Crusty Demons legend – how are you mentally preparing for the challenge?
A: Mentally I know I have them beat. They better be ready to jump 350ft+ because I am!
Q: Did you watch Robbie’s NYE jump? What did you think when you saw how far he jumped?
A: He only beat my record by 12 feet. It will be a cake walk to get the record back.
Q: How important is it for you to claim the record?
A: It’s very important to claim the record in Melbourne, it means a lot to get the record back, but it means more to take it back on Robbie's home turf.
Q: You have probably heard how loud Aussies are so are you concerned about the home crowd advantage that Robbie will have?
A: No. I’m coming over there with a positive attitude. I think the crowd is going to be loud no matter what! Who wouldn't be? Anybody is going to be screaming for 300ft+ jumps.
Q. Do you get nervous before you jump and are you nervous about jumping in Melbourne?
A: Anybody gets nervous before jumping 300 feet +. I've done more of these distance jumps than any of them.

DOUBLE BACKFLIP CRASH
The Crusty Demons Unleash Hell Regional Tour kicked off on Saturday night with some extreme riding and a horrendous crash when
America’s Scott Murray attempted the death-defying double back flip in front of a sold out crowd of 11,500 crazed fans at the Canberra Stadium.
In a dramatic series of events Scott undershot his double back flip attempt, the worst possible outcome for the most extreme
freestyle motocross trick in the world. Landing short on the ramp he was propelled sideways falling three metres to the ground and landing flat on his back.
After several extremely tense minutes Scott was carried from the performance area by paramedics, but incredibly still managed
to get a message to the crowd that he was sorry for letting them down. Soon after he was taken by ambulance to Canberra Hospital.
The atmosphere was overwhelmingly tense throughout the packed out crowd as Scott made two attempts at the double back flip.
After crashing without hurting himself on the first he decided to go for it again.
Miraculously Scott managed to escape serious injury and was released from hospital last night. His injuries included concussion
as well as bad bruising to his back and lungs. Scott is keen to get back on his bike and wants to be riding by the end of this week.

to be held at Calder Park on March 29.
Q: How is your training going for the Crusty Demons NOWR?
A: Training is going good. I am on the four strokes now and like them a lot.
Q. You are up against some pretty tough competition with Robbie, the current world record holder and Capes, who has already
jumped over 300 feet – how are you mentally preparing for the challenge?
A: I am just riding a lot to get my confidence up, but jumping 300 feet plus is no joke.
Q: Did you watch Robbie’s NYE jump? What did you think when you saw how far he jumped?
